I know.. I know.. Its stupidity to telling women how to take care of their sarees but still its not me who daring to do so, in fact one of my blogger friend has collected few of the really critical and very important tips to keep your saree’s color, fabric as young as new, always.

Some of his really good tips like..

Do not keep soaked the sarees such as batik, bandhani sarees or other sarees which are dyed separately for giving designs as they may loose their color. You can handwash them with mild detergent soaps.

Where you place your banarasi or other silk sarees, keep moth repellent like naphthalene balls in the cupboard.

are seriously non-neglectable.

Learn the easiest way to drape saree.

Are you among of those who love to wear saree but find it hectic to get around? I am safe coz I am male lol :p ;

However I got something helpful for you. One of my unknown friend explained it pretty goodly on his/her blog. Actually wearing a saree is not difficult but due to the several styles of saree draping one technique get clashed with another and produces a alien effect. Anyways, so below are the tips of saree draping.

Step 1. Buy a saree online or offline

Step 2. Call out one of your lazy friend to help you learning this style

Step 3. Click here to learn easiest the way to wear saree

I call it easiest because this is one of the most common and easy to understand method, unlike all other styles. Dummies will find it great starting tip. enjoy!

It's bigee. It's beautiful. It's Costliest. View the world's costliest saree ever, made by Chennai Silk, India. Pictures inside.

Wife: Darling, I just loved one of the saree I saw on Internet. Can’t you gift me that on my coming 25th birthday?

Hubby: 25th? haven’t we already celebrated 25th last year?

Wife: shutup! are you gonna gift me or not? be straight.

Hubby: alright.. alright! how much it is for?

Wife: 46.. lakh.. bucks .. only

Wife: what happen?.. are you there?? … hello….

Lol well its quite understandable that hubby’s will definitely get lost once they figure out the price of this costliest piece of fabric. Bingo.. its a saree. worth 46 lakhs rupees only.

Chennai Silk, India is the proud weaver of this saree. The price tag speaks clearly, this saree is a concept saree and not a off the shelf piece.

The saree was woven with gold thread & stones. What i love most of this saree is actually the ancient art design on it, which makes it more like a paniting instead of a fabric. Kudos to designer!

Check the video about this saree here.

Western world is adopting the sensual styling of Indian sarees for women styling. Check out few of the most beautiful design pictures inside, completely derived by concept of sarees.

This is a great piece of clothing art derived by the concept of indian sarees. It’s a beautiful mix of indian & western culture and a perfect blend for sensuality of sarees indulged into western apparels. Loved the creative brain. Kudos!!

In Sponsorship of Kodak, Better Photography a leading Indian photography magazine announced India's Biggest Wedding Photography Awards; Wedding Photographer of the Year 2009. Last date of submission - 20 Jan, 2010. Full details inside.

Better Photography, an India’s own leading photography magazine is calling entries for India’s Biggest Wedding Photography Awards; Wedding Photographer of the Year 2009. Last date of submitting entries is 20 Jan, 2010.

The contest (primarily sponsored by Kodak) is open to all Indian photographers as well as NRI photographers too (That’s one thing I loved about this contest).

If you are a wedding photographer and willing to participate, you can simply register yourself online here and there is not registration fees involved.

But one not so good thing about this contest is, there is no financial reward announced for the winners. Winners will only be showcased into April 2010 Issue of magazine. I am unsure if it will attract a lot of professional photographers.

However it will definitely be a good exposure to newbie wedding photography professionals to showcase their talent in front of a wide audience.

It will be really exciting to see the entries.
